Dr. Robert F. Morrison, DMD
I founded the practice after returning from being stationed with the U.S. Navy in England with the goal of providing genuine and compassionate care for the families of Williamsburg and the greater Hampton-Roads area. The practice has grown to incorporate some of the latest technologies, including and continues to provide extensive and patient oriented care for families and individuals. With a great team of doctors and staff at my side, our office prides ourselves on the personal attention and skill that we are able to offer our patients.
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry – Southern Illinois University, 1979
- Doctorate of Dental Medicine – Southern Illinois University, School of Dental Medicine, 1982
- Post-Doctoral Residency in Comprehensive Dentistry
In addition to my extensive continuing education experience, I have also served as the head of the Pediatric Department at Norfolk Naval Station Dental Clinic from 1987 to 1988, as well as Chief of Staff of the Department of Dentistry at Williamsburg Community Sentara Hospital. I have lectured on cone beam computed tomography and continue to update my practice using the latest in digital technology.
Outside the Office
My wife, Alison, is an independent business owner. We have two sons: Frank, a LT in the United States Coast Guard, and Alex, a post-baccalaureate student at Old Dominion University. I am a dedicated family man, and enjoy fishing on the Chesapeake Bay, as well as kayaking, and restoring British MG cars.
My commitment to the community extends beyond my work in the office. I am a volunteer with Give Kids a Smile, the Mission of Mercy project, and Physicians for Peace in the Dominical Republic. I served as a chairman of the YMCA of Greater Williamsburg from 1997 to 2001, was a member of the YMCA Board of Directors from 1995 to 2006, and am on the Dental Advisory Board of Olde Towne Dental Clinic, which provides needed dental care to underserved populations in the area.
